Human Trafficking is the abuse of children, women, and men for their bodies and labor. It's modern-day slavery. With that as the definition, there are more slaves in the world now than ever before. A21 exists to abolish slavery. And with your help, we will. We will launch our new partnership with A21 on Sunday, August 4. You will hear more about this in service. This project has two parts. 1. Participants will learn from a Guest Speaker from A21. She will cover a variety of contributors to Human Trafficking, give a brief overview of A21 and how they are abolishing slavery. The Guest Speaker will then share how you can be involved in the fight against slavery not only in Virginia, but worldwide. 2. Participants will pack kits for victims and survivors which will then be distributed by A21 at their Charlotte, North Carolina Freedom Center. ***Parents, please be warned that information, stories and graphics may be shared that may be sensitive for your kids. While this issue affects the youngest of us, we strongly advise that you leave your youngest kids at home for this event. ***Students are welcome to participate, but must be accompanied by an adult if they are in Middle School.
